Custom DJ Name Plate for Your Booth

Your stage name on the booth is what guests read when they decide whether to save your contact. Legibility from the dancefloor in ordinary venue light matters more than a logo treatment on a laptop screen.
Text and finish
The Club XL is booth-mounted hardware. You set display text and finish in the configurator; production prints at that size with scan and tap on the same face. Spelling locks when production starts, so match the handle you use on contracts and socials.
Character count drives letter height. A short alias fills the plate; a long brand name still works but needs a preview so you are not surprised at load-in.
White hardware on a dark case or black drape often reads well under color wash. Black hardware on a white booth skin does the same in daylight. Choose for the rig you run most weeks.
Skip taglines under your name at plate size. One strong handle plus scan and tap icons reads cleaner than three lines guests cannot read from six feet away.

Hyphenated names and DJ prefixes look different at plate scale than in a vector logo. Preview beats guessing whether a hyphen wraps.
Placement
Mount where people walk, not where you stand behind the decks. The crowd line is along the front rail of the table, the lid rail on a flight case, or the center upright on a booth front.
Height is usually chest to chin along that line. Too low hides behind controllers and cables; too high reads like venue signage. Adjust one notch after a walk-by with your phone camera.

Booth front panels are flat uprights guests face during open dancing. Center the Club XL on the panel they approach. Avoid tucking it inside a controller cutout only the DJ sees.
Flight cases work when the dancefloor faces the case front. Laptop-tray cases use friction fit on the tray lip without the included C-clamp; see the installation guide for that setup.

Outdoor booths pick up sun and wind. Angle the face slightly down toward the floor to cut glare. A rigid mount holds position better than foam board in gusts.
Controller tables are tight. A plate in front of the mixer can still face guests when background banners are cropped from their view. Keep the scan area clear of cable ties.

Scan, tap, and links
If you run scan and tap, keep the name and link on one rigid unit. The QR sign guide covers code size, light, and destination speed. The NFC vs QR guide explains why both stay enabled.
Turn handoffs into inquiries with reply habits from the bookings guide.
After load-in, walk the dancefloor once. If you cannot read the name or scan while moving at a normal pace, lower the mount or tilt the face toward the floor.
Configure finish, display text, and booking link on the homepage when the preview matches how you want to look on the rig. Custom units are made to your specs, so get spelling right before you order.
Mounting hardware
- Every order includes a set of standard C-clamp mounting hardware.
- It fits DJ facades, DJ tables, and flight cases.
- Laptop-tray flight cases use friction fit on the tray lip; you do not need the included C-clamp hardware for that setup.
- The Club XL is compatible with industry-standard O-clamps for truss or poles. O-clamps are not included.
- Setup videos by rig type are on the installation guide.
FAQ
- How long can my DJ name be?
- Shorter names read larger on the face. Long handles still fit, but letter height shrinks. Type your exact text in the homepage configurator and check the preview before you order.
- White or black finish?
- Pick contrast against the surface you mount on most. White booth skins often use black hardware; dark cases and draped tables often use white hardware so the name stays visible under uplighting.
- Should the plate include scan and tap?
- Many working DJs put the name and contact path on your Club XL so guests connect the link with the DJ they watched. You choose the destination at checkout.
- Where should the plate sit on a booth front?
- On the flat upright guests face from the floor, centered at eye to chest height. Avoid a spot only visible from behind the decks.
